The fact that is it changing in 'real-time' would indicate to me that
the Kyocera phone is doing something funky to the fonts built into
palmos. When I was working on the hires version of the viewer, I saw
something similar under sony devices. Some additional code seemed to
help but I'm not sure if it'll have any effect on you (At the time, it
appeared to me that it was a sony-specific problem)

Personally, I'm waiting for the new colour Kyocera phone to come out
before I port the hires branch over to it, in which case your problem
may be fixed then.

I would recommend that you try out a hires prc anyways, regardless of
the device it is fully backward-compliant with non-hires devices.

Because our fixed-width font is a 'custom' font, it may be being
mis-intrepreted as on of your devices built in custom fonts (assuming
it has any)..

Try out a hires prc version from

http://www.array.org/~adamm/plucker/prc/1.2beta12-hires-1

Note, this is a temporary url,.. a more permanent one should be setup
up shortly.
