There you'll find a line that reads: <settings maxThreads="4" timeout="30" lookAndFeel="Kunststoff">On Windows the <user home> can occur in several locations depending on your Windows version. In Win2000/XP it's in "c:\Documents and Settings\<user name>" on Win98 it can occur in "c:\windows" or "c:\windows\profiles\<user name>". Just look for a directory named ".jpluckx".
Unless you really expect JPluckX to run multiple users on one system, I humbly suggest you keep the settings with the executable, at least on Windows. And even if using multiple users, since your files are XML you could easily divvy them up by user inside a monolithic config file.
