Hello everybody! I am happy to know Plucker and the related technology. Now I can replace AvantGo and WebToGo almost completely. (I prefer OpenSource over closed source, and I don't want to have 3 different Offline Browsers installed on my Palm device)
To replace the AvantGo Channels by Plucker I would need to know the adresses that AvantGo uses to get the pages from. To do this I tried plenty things: Hexviewing, caching proxy, http spy. All I figured out was that AvantGo collects web pages on _their_ server and sends them encrypted/compressed to your computer (on a hotsync). So there is no chance to get the URLs from the AvantGo-Channels. (Maybe by hacking into the POSE (Palm OS Emulator), but I can't manage it to hotsync) So, how do I get to know the URLs for the Channels? Has anybody an idea, how I can manage this? The most legal way would be to ask the webmasters/site maintainers of the channels. This is what I'm going to do, but I'm not expecting to much from them. Pleased about every help, Stephen D.
