Greetings,
Is the JPluck2 conduit for Windows expected to work on an OS4.1 device
with two memory cards?
Actually this is a HandEra 330 upgraded to a "beta" PalmOS 4.1 ROM.
(A few of these ROMs leaked out, now that HandEra has abandoned the
device.)
Remember that the last official release was PalmOS 3.5.3, with no
support for HotSync-to-card. It would be great if this beta OS4.1
would let HE 330 users hotsync plucker docs direct to one of the
cards. (But which card?)
Using JPluck2-pre3, with:
jpluck.destination=hotsync
jpluck.hotsync.user=OSTest
jpluck.hotsync.memorycard=true
in jpluck.properties, then running
java -jar convert.jar docs/examples/theonion.jxl
and syncing, I get this in the HotSync log:
Transferring PDB: C:\Program Files\Palm\OSTest\jpluck\card\The
Onion.transferring
Copying to card: /Palm/Launcher/The Onion.pdb
VFSDirCreate return code 10800
VFSFileDelete return code 10800
VFSFilePut return code 10800
Sync failed.
I don't know whether this fault is from the conduit choking on a
dual-card device, or whether these VFS operations are simply broken in
the beta OS 4.1 ROM.
Wait... These errors only occur if both cards are present! If there
is only one card (doesn't matter which -- CF or SD), then the xfer is
successful!
Does that mean the JPluck2 conduit can be enhanced to accomodate a
dual-card OS4.1 device?
Thanks for your help.
Kind regards,
David
