16bpp Images will show, but now tapping the thumbnail will not show the big image anymore. So i can't check that.

What cvs tool were you using? What about the hourly CVS snapshot download link of the source on the Snapshots page? Just fetch that.
But if you send me a viewer as .prc-file, I will check the change.
