This occurs when sync20.dll cannot be found(as you could probably guess from the error message). Make sure this DLL is in the directory pointed to by the path in the Registry. Alternatively, copy sync20.dll to the Windows directory. Also make sure you delete the Registry entries for the conduit manager in "HKCU\Software\U.S. Robotics\Pilot Desktop\ComponentX", where X is a variable number. If this all fails, let me know which Palm Desktop version you are using.
