Hi there,

I just installed the Linux Version of Plucker - after the Win Version
has been running fine for a couple of days.

When using the same home-document as with Windows (which normally
creates a ~500kB .pdb within a few minutes) I get the following:

The "Channel Update Progress" Window opens - but the progress indicators
and the log don't change. Only when moving the mouse cursor over that
window I get some change in the "Retrieving Files" section. However,
while I get sick moving my mouse about, I have the impression, that this
is *way slower* that when I run M$-Windoze.

Is this behaviour already known and are there possible remedies?

Software installed:
plucker-desktop-1.6.0.0-1.i386.rpm
plucker-1.6.1-1.i386.rpm
System: Mandrake 9.1

Moreover, I have a possibly related question:
When trying to install the parser packet first time, I got an error
message, that "compileall.py" wasn't found in /usr/lib/python. On a MDK
9.1 these files are in /usr/lib/python2.2 - hence I made a symlink for
compileall.py and the rpm install went fine.

Could it be that there are other files expected in /usr/lib/python that
are in /usr/lib/python2.2 on my system? Is there a way to change the
default location of these files without re-compiling the package?

Many thanks in advance!

Stefan.
