Dan,
A suggestion is to try to get away from the 'Avantgo' One page links to
everything. It's a nice idea, but there are inherent problems. When I
switched from Plucker's standard Distiller to JPluck, I took the plunge
to put everything in it's own file. The benefits are pretty clear:
- Shorter Pluck Times. Only update what you need to.
- If links change to one time things (like directions), it won't affect
you without you noticing.
- Easier to trade a single 40k file with just those directions than
having to send someone a 400k+ with all your directions in it plus maybe
some other pages that may not interest them.
I am guessing from your use you are using some of the original
functionality. I'd be interested on some of your ideas on what you setup.

I'm doing this with yahoo maps and plucker.
I'm basically creating a local web page with a bunch of links to the
"printable" versions of "driving directions" pages, and then I run
plucker against that local web page.
Seems to work well, but I live in fear of the day when yahoo rearranges
their links, as many sites do from time to time.
