Huh? Where did you get that idea from? It's definitely not a good idea to send large attachments to a mailing list, but I doubt it will increase the amount of spam on the list. How much spam have you actually received on this list? The biggest problem I have seen so far (and I have subscribed to this list since the start in October 1998) was an out-of-office responder that went wild ;-) Anyway, if necessary we can unsubscribe any spammer from this list. Still, few spammers go through the trouble of subscribing to a mailing list... BTW, since we are talking about netiquette; on this list top-posting is frowned upon.
