Thanks!! This is a server so I have a static IP. I'm configuring Bind for the first time and what looks easy apparently is not. Lots to learn. Thank you for your help!!

Don't you get your dns servers from dhcp?  Routers usually just
regurgitate whatever the isp sends you.
