ONE way is to paste it to straight text file - right click your desktop, create a "NEW TEXT DOCUMENT" (NOT KWRITE), copy FROM that
file to paste buffer, paste to kwrite. THAT should strip any "coding".

I've not been able to figure out why this happens
or how to "clear" the hidden coding that causes this.
I've tried cutting and pasting the same text into
libre mail and the text then looks okay, but if I
cut and paste it back into kwrite, the same display
problem appears. Strange.
Any suggestions to clear whatever hidden coding
is causing this?
