Firefox is sucking more and more overtime... :(
Try:
mv ~/.mozilla ~/DOT.mozilla
You will lose any passwords and what not, but if that stops the crashing, at
least you know where it is coming from.
You can restore it later if need be...

and now at version 49, I can't even start it in safe mode.

I've tried reinstalling, then uninstall and install
from synaptic, but still the same crashing.
