I wholeheartedly agree. They don't have a lot of marketing, I found out
about it via word of mouth. The individual plan is totally free, though.
The mechanics of how it works are really cool, though also very in-depth.
They seem like a good company. They also offer a 50% discount for
non-profits and educational institutions. Tailscale operates on a
least-privilege / zero-trust model, using Wireguard behind the scenes,
so it's both robust and secure.
If you really like their service, you can even use the "Bring Tailscale
to Work" feature to refer their sales team to your company. Tailscale
will upgrade you to Personal Plus for a year as a thank you (as far as I
can tell, the only difference is more users).
