Hi,
First of all it is a misconception that LUGs are here to help any Tom,
Dick and Harry use a Linux based system as if it was a Windows based
one. Sure people out here will help, but it is not unconditional and
noone has the right to demand help.
All the people out here who really do help dont do it for charity. It is
their own selfish motive of learning something new that prompts them to
help others. All of us have been newbies sometime or the other. Those
who have gone furhter to become good at something know what kind of help
really mattered to them. And they are giving that kind of help.
To come to the context, the original mail asked for the easy way out and
insulted those who wanted to help (believe me, it was insulting).
Those who did bother to help know from experience that the easy way
doen't help. When in Rome, do as the Romans do. The community does not
want a lot of users. We dont want 50% market share. We want good users.
So if someone can't be a good user and can't fit into the community, the
community will reject him.
If anyone can't do things themselves, please find someone who will do it
for you, for a fee, if required. We help those who help themselves.

Aditya.
