Hi Satish,
from your log error.. i have a strong feeling that, your monitor
has not been detected properly. Please check your X conf file
and check out if the frequency values mentioned there are proper
or not.

I had faced a problem on slackware, i reconfigured X and then
had to manually put the frequency values in the conf file.

For your modem, please let us know what chip set are you using.
If u are using a PC-Tel Micro Modem, then i think u should give up
it has rarely worked in Linux. Major reason being, the hardware
manufacturer has not given the architecture of the chip out, to some
driver developer.
If it is a conexant chip set, then pls visit
http://www.linuxant.com/drivers/hsf/full/downloads-suse-x86.php

Download drivers from here only.

U are using SUSE 9.2, please download the file appropriate for your
kernel version
THEY SUPPORT SUSE 9.2.
