hello
In order to build an analyzer i m first
trying to build sniffer.For that i need to set the
wireless card in monitor mode...
while the command : iwconfig wlan0 mode monitor
...gives me error like:
Error for wireless request "Set Mode" (8B06) :
SET failed on device wlan0 ; Operation not
supported.
even i tried....
iwpriv wlan0 monitor 1 6
still the mode i get is managed after doin iwconfig
the card is D-LINK G520+...
the drivers i hav used are :-
acx100-0.2Opre8_plus_fixes_43 drivers
the kernel is 2.6.7(fedora core 1)
also the command iwpriv:
shows monitor in its list....
I m not able to find the reason for this error ...
please tell me the reason and the required solution
for this problem...
