Hello all,
In my college theres a win2000 server with
internal IP 10.xxx.xxx.xxx and by using it as a proxy
server on my redhat 9 i can able to use internet. But
now i want to use Evolution to read my yahoo mails on
linux machine in Evolution. What setup i need cause i
have given it my login name of yahoo in setup screen
1. then on setup screen 2 it ask for server type and i
specify it as pop server then it ask for Host name (I
confused what to write here) and Username i have given
as yahoo login ID.
Then i decided to i gave pop3.yahoo.com and
smtp.yahoo.com as servers and when i click on
Send/Receive mails i got error as "Error While
'Fetching Mail': Host lookup Failed: pop3.yahoo.com:
unknown reason"
Where am i wrong? Does it require Proxy server to
have Mail server setup and only Email Ids of domains
of college are able to retrieve incoming mails....? If
that is the case how to access Yahoo/Rediff mails?
