Hi, Yep, yet another BSNL broadband thread....
I moved to Bangalore last month, applied for a phone and last week and I got hooked up 7 hours ago! I'm very impressed with BSNL guys... I guess its coz I took the pains to visit their office, meet the AGM himself, call them up regularly (and politely) etc and they were very prompt even though they said they were getting 20 to 50 apps per day and my setup would take at least 2 to 3 weeks...(Indranagar area) But, I'm writing this to ask if anyone has any info on any **BSNL website** where you can log on and check your **download MBs usage** and change password etc? The BSNL guys I asked all tell me to call some number at the office and they will reset your password for you (no website). Im especially interested to see if they have an online download meter or something, I'd hate to get a rude shock in the form of a huge bill once the unlimited period gets over...(I wouldnt dare leave my PC 'always-on' ! linux/bsd whatever) Someone mentioned something about this recently but didnt give details (Vikas Garud, I believe after looking at archives)... I got the 512k plan and Im getting close to full speed on it (the online bandwidth tests say 350 to 400k but real download is about 500+ k), uploads about 128k maybe more (havent checked this properly...)
