hi rajendra,
the topic is always been one of my bookmarks(ed) topic
on the top list.
i would ask some questions in regards to your
questions
>>> 1. Why it is so slow?
What have you used?? and on what hardware and what M$
do you use and on what hardware ??
If you were talking about the GUI and you find it slow
(buddy get the last Linuxforu issue)
>>> 2. Can we make it as fast as or even more faster
>>> that windows in anyway?
Win-dows faster?? What was your setup (config else
then hardware) of the Gnu/Linux you or your co-workers
ever had install and felt that it is slow then
win-dows??
>>> 3. Is there any work going on this?
Really gnu/Linux has gone faster and that depends on
user choice what he/she installed and configured and
what kind of setup he/she has done. well i am not
attached to developer community so frankly i dont
know what development is going on to make it more
faster but i feel there is no need too!
>>> 4. What about the future of Linux or windows as
>>>> Desktop OS?
well i truly believe that windows was the true desktop
Os but again it is closed source.
And Linux had moved from Server to Users desk and is
quite doing well (in surprising user with power, nice
look, easy to use, fast), well what ppl feel as they
have always used Win-dows they always try to compare
both gnu/Linux and win-dows(I have met many of them
personally).
> 5. What are good things with windows to use it or
> with Linux to use it?

I have been Gnu/Linux User So I want be able to tell
you what and why with windows is good but there could
be * reasons for Going for Gnu/Linux.
