While trying to figure out how to get my USB camera to work (Mandrake
10.2 beta 3) I came across some one who posted on an online forum
(www.mandrakeusers.org i think) that there was some controversy about
USB and these things might be off mainline/vanilla kernels...

Also, I've seen lots of people and websites recommending not to
compile your own kernel rather use your distributers releases...
