Try to get the Huawei SmartAX MT800 (or MT880) ADSL modem, it has ethernet network cable connection to your PC and you can setup the modem so it does the "dialling" (called PPPoE or PPP over Ethernet) into your BSNL data-one account your PC gets the IP address automatically, so it's hassle-free for both Windows and Linux. Take a look at the BSNL HOWTO on http://appaji.net/ and also the http://broadbandforum.in/ website where there are many questions and answers about this... -- "Thou shalt not follow the null pointer for at it's end madness and chaos lie." -- ______________________________________________________________________ Pune GNU/Linux Users Group Mailing List: ([email protected]) List Information: http://plug.org.in/mailing-list/listinfo/plug-mail Send 'help' to [EMAIL PROTECTED] for mailing instructions.
