Dude.. this is the Pune Linux Users Group and we here in Pune deal in
INR not USD. Request you to kindly use the INR unit of currency in
your future posts.

Nice to see some nationalistic spirit!
But the crux of the problem is that driver is available from
people who would not accept INR atall.
Spend your energies in trying to write a driver for that d-link
modem. It is a conexant chipset soft modem. A lot of Indians will shower
praise on you if are able to do so.
The driver costs as much as the modem.
