You mean a Free software cannot have a third party plugin which is also free software? No and neither I do the typing all the time. Funny enough, my wife took a video of myself, while I was working on code. The video shows that in every minute or so, I type for 10-15 seconds and think for another half a minute or so.. and this is while I am developing the code. Most of the time I am not. Either I am reading or thinking or documenting. Can I use kate only from keyboard, probably yes. Do I? No. Does it matter, No, not for me.
