Should have continued with maemo , meego or whatever which is on N9/N950 is a complete new system and is uncompatible by the maemo which ran on N900 . They actually went into a new distribution before they even kicked off !! In contrast android is doing a great job . There were hardly any N950 devices and by the time N9 / N950 reached the homes , everyone has heard of Nokia - Ms deal . Though some spirited Qt developers got out some great apps for N9 there was a air of uncertainity . Tizen announcement put everything on hold . And tizen is another distribution altogether , currently running on "zero" devices . Maemo project still releases community SSU , but it is like peanuts because the bigdaddy Nokia is gone , and he left with all the secrets .
