Maybe I didn't the first time. I used expert mode (although I am no
expert!) and thought that the telnet-server package was already selected
by default (as part of the 584MB already selected when you install).

Anyway, I have no way to find out now because I have reinstalled over this
other installation that didn't work.

Now I have two questions re: Mandrake installation:

Question 1:

I remember, Migs telling me about this in RH6.0 in one of plug install
sessions at iphil, that RH6.0 will overwrite everything on your hard disk
if you select this type of installation (workstation option, I think).

My question is, is it the same in Mandrake 7.0 that If you select the
other installation options (Recommended or Customized and Normal or
Development), will Mandrake 7.0 overwrite everything on your hard disk?
I don't want to experiment, because I have important files in my hard
disk.

Question 2:

When I installed Mandrake 7.0 on my machine with S3 Virge video card, the
graphics during installation is not good (just blue screen with black band
on the left containing these bulleted list of the installation procedure).
I thought this is the graphical installation look of Mandrake 7.0

I installed it on a different machine (also with S3 Virge), but now I get
this great graphics (greenish screen with marble-like band on the left and
dialog boxes).

Why are they different for the two machines with the same type of video
card?

Thanks,

Nel
