there are lots of engines you could use. what do you plan to use? you can
use the slashcode (from the slashdot site under code) that runs on perl
and a huge amount of modules. you can also use squishdot(filipino made
yata). or you can make your own. something is php3 would be faster i
think. or you can use javaservlets/javaserver pages (yabang points in your
resumes!)

in slashdot if you register and set your personal settings to use
non-graphical mode(actually they should call it not-so graphical
mode because they still have the slashdot graphic). the output if spewed
in linear html (quick and dirty page! and lynx friendly!)
