#_ but what about /var/spool/mail. i want to use procmail kasi. i have
#_ subscribed to a ton of mailing lists and i use procmail filter to scan my
#_ mail for viruses and forward them to the approriate pine mailbox.

There are two ways to use procmail with postfix. 1) make postfix deliver to
procmail; in etc/postfix/main.cf put this:
           mailbox_command = path/to/procmail

2) use the default postfix delivery method and just have a .forward file in
the users' home directory (this is what I use).

BTW from the main.cf file:

# DELIVERY TO MAILBOX
#
# The home_mailbox parameter specifies the optional pathname of a
# mailbox relative to a user's home directory. The default is to
# deliver to the UNIX-style /var/spool/mail/user or /var/mail/user.
# Specify "Maildir/" for qmail-style delivery (the / is required).
#
#home_mailbox = /mail/inbox
#home_mailbox = Maildir/
