Hello all,
I replaced my Vortex1-based Diamond Sonic Impact S90 with a Vortex2
SuperQuad Digital. This is Vortex2-based (AU8830A2 chip). I'm using the
Vortex drivers from linux.aureal.com.
I can't install the au8830.o module because it claims "device busy." Sure
enough, in the BIOS boot, it shows that INT 15 is shared by the Vortex2
sound chip and the video controller. However, this is not a problem with
Windows.
The Aureal docs say to disable PnP OS in the BIOS as it sometimes causes
this problem. I've already done this, but nothing works. I have no sound!!
