yah, well they give public ip's so no problemo there. i'd tend not to rely on
the remote-administration, though. Unless your endpoint is "route-graphically"
near this site and "bandwidth-graphically" practical, then it's no problem;
however my experience is that waiting for 2 seconds per character to appear in
a telnet or ssh session is not practical IMHO. to much frustration \8) not
good for d health.

data over cable is not as simple as TV/video transmission over cable which is
essentially one-way. Two way data requires a lot of fine tuning wrt the cable
nodes, plus your proximity from the fiber loop is a big factor. Indeed some
areas may be able to receive tv signals, but are incapable of supporting data;
that's the reality of the technology.
