X11 as in Xwindows/X...console mode as in primitive dos-alike (full
screen) with black background and white fonts. You can go to full-screen
console mode (Redhat/Mandrake) by typing ctrl-alt-<F1> upto <F6> and
returning to X by typing alt-<F7>, in slackware ctrl-alt-<F3>-<F6> then
back to X by alt-<F2>, which rise another question, in slackware I can
only switch into one full-screen console mode unlike in
Redhat/Mandrake. Any ideas how can I make more switches?

Anyway before I was using Redhat 6/Mandrake 6.1 and it was working
properly in X and in fullscreen console mode. I've already compared the
settings to my Slackware 7, but still no success. Ctrl-C/X and ctrl-V
does work in X but only on X-apps but it does not work with Konsole or
kvt.

I guess I've missed something or some procedure. I think plug have
already discussed this problem. Can anyone tell me where can I find the
mailling lists archives?

thanks,
~gams
