As root, run either:
# shutdown -r now
or
# init 6
Then cross your fingers ;) and hope it comes back again. One
reason that could stop the boot up process is a disk in the
floppy drive. Unless of course, it's your boot disk. Another
reason is if you've set "prompt" in /etc/lilo.conf and you have
no "timeout" setting.
