It does, and it works. Multiversioning is a prerequisite for the I
(Isolation) and A (Atomicity) unless you like doing table locks.
Consistency is being able to designate foreign keys. It can be done using
triggers, but ideally you should be able to tell it what the foreign keys
are in your DDL.

Note that your previous comments about the stability problems of Postgres
are correct...if you're using 6.4 or earlier. The 6.5.* series is a major
improvement in stability and performance, and it looks like the 7 release
is going to be another major leap forward.
