Diald seems to work, although I can't seem to authenticate using PAP.

My /etc/ppp/options contains:

<snip>
remotename ppp /*whereas ppp is the name where my login and pass is in
pap-secrets */
user loginname /* also in pap-secrets */
connect /etc/ppp/dial
<snip>

NOTE: this setup works without diald.

I invoke diald on the prompt with :

diald /dev/ttyS0lock debug 20 -m ppp  local 0.0.0.0 remote 0.0.0.0
defaultroute mtu 296 mru 296 demasq modem crtscts connect
/dev/ppp/options dyamic -- debug noipdefault remotename ppp user
loginname

diald actully dials when a connection is requested by any pc on the lan
but it fails and syslog says it can't find any auth secrets files.

any ideas?

thanks.
