I have a 3Com USR 56K Faxmodem ext, and on querying the modem in kppp,
it shows that Caller ID is supported. Maybe the 3Com is the solution
for you, since you get to upgrade your modem in one go.

Is anyone aware if PLDT provides the service without buying the
physical unit? Has anyone _proven_ that this particular modem actually
works with Caller ID?

TIA
