at last! found some typo mistakes at the chat scripts.
this is the 2-liner script that worked on my setup.
whew!
line1:
/usr/sbin/pppd connect 'chat -v "" at\&f1 OK atL1 OK
atdt801 CONNECT "" "" "" name: netra word: tunabell \>
ppp' \
line2:
/dev/ttyS0 38400 debug lock crtscts modem defaultroute
noauth
b4 kasi, i am missing the "\" b4 the ">" and both ">"
ppp are on line2.
the orig script came from roneil...thanks a lot!
i terminate my ppp connection by:
ifconfig ppp0 down
kill -9 <pid -of pppd>
BUT when i do an "ifconfig -a", ppp0 is still there?!
how do i remove ppp0 ?
