Aside from experience, it also varies on the kind of systems managed. I
observed and I think it's a general rule that most Unix sysads are paid
higher than those managing NTs (for obvious reasons, of course).. I know
some senior unix sysads receiving 40K/mo. (4 years exp.), some 25K (2
yrs)... but it varies widely though..im sure senior ones demand a lot
higher. in contrast, filipinos entering the US generally get between
$40-60K/annually.. which explains why perhaps many opt to leave :)
