The Philippine Star's headline got my goat again. Well I guess it's too
much to expect non-computer literate people to NOT label those CRIMINALS
as "whiz kids."

I bet most of the people on the PLUG mailing list have the ability to
duplicate the ILOVEYOU worm. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to screw
around with Windows Scripting Host.

I also read that Onel de Guzman was claiming his invention would allow the
less financially well-off to surf the net. That would be OK if he was
screwing PLDT or whatever, but he's not. Other people get screwed.

If there's any single company that's at fault for high ISP rates in this
country, it's not the ISPs -- most ISPs have very small margins -- it's
PLDT, whose de facto monopoly keeps telecom access expensive.
