if your linux printer profile doesnt support it, use the nearest printer for
backward compatibility

i think the issue here is in the win98se, probably you reach the maximum
threshhold of its ephemeral ports. you can increase this by tweaking some
parameters in the registry. i forgot the exact parameter but you can go to
microsoft website and search there in their knowledge base.
