It's like this: Internally, we are using exchange servers. So with this, you
can set it up in such a way that mails are stored in the server. So anywhere
you go, it's still there. If I use netscape as my MUA, Netscape will try to
retrieve all the mails. I know, we can configure netscape to "leave messages
on the server". That's not what I want. What I'm doing in telnet is like
this, RETR 845. Then my mail which is in 845 index will be retrieve. What if
there is a big mail in 840,841 and 844 index (say 15Mb)? That will take me
too long to retrieve mail 845.

Yeah, you're right. I can use IMAP. But IMAP protocol isn't enabled on the
exchange servers and I don't think that the exchange administrator wille
enable that protocol.

On my side, I'm only handling MTA side which is our gateway to our internal
servers and to the internet. And that is postfix. Before, when NT was being
used to dialup to the ISP, mails aren't handled well. Some mails are sent
back to the users (hostname not found daw). I just want to stress the POWER
of linux when handling this stuff. I don't want to start a flame here. It's
just what I experienced. Bigla yata ang layo ng kwento ko. :-) Totoo naman
di ba?!!!
