I wasn't used Foundation.2000, I was using IDS 7.2 and that worked fine
with an almost-stock install.
Ah, almost forgot. You have to increase the maximum number of file
descriptors allowed. Forgot what exactly but check my Linux99 article
(it's at the Linux99 site) it lists what you need to do in dreary detail..
