You still lack the ipchains (if you're using linux-2.2.x series, otherwise
use ipfwadm) rules telling the linux box to accept http requests on port
80 and redirect them to port 3128
I did this when i enabled transparent proxying in our squid boxes.
/sbin/ipchains -A input -p TCP -d <ip of squid box> www -j ACCEPT
/sbin/ipchains -A input -p TCP -d any/0 80 -j REDIRECT 3128
Just be sure to input the above lines in one of your rc files so that it
would be permanent.
