The later versions of win95 (OSR2) support encrypted passwords. Win 3.xx does not.
Setting encrypt passwords = yes will affect clients not able to send encrypted
passwords.
Just upgrade those clients to win95 OSR2.. unless they are running on truly ancient
hardware (486 and below).
BTW, remember to run the mksmbpasswd and smbpasswd programs to provide password
support.
