A few weeks ago I posted an email about how to increase a linux partition
without using partition magic. But no ones seems to know the answer. I
guess it is not yet possible with anything open source. Anyway I thought
that rather than erase and reinstall (nakakatamad) why not erase the
partition that I no longer like and move /usr to that partition. How
should I go about this? My setup is:

/dev/hda1 ---Corel Linux 1.1 (to be deleted I like redhat better)
/dev/hda2 ---Red Hat 6.2
/dev/hda3 ---Swap partition

Is it just a matter of:

1. While in RH2, mount /dev/hda1 /mnt/hda1
2. rm-rf / in hda1
3. cp /usr /mnt/hda1
4. rm -rf /usr
5. edit fstab to automount /usr in /dev/hda1

Please help me avoid disaster by telling me if I am wrong.

TIA
