Hi there everyone,

I don't know if this qualifies as on-topic, off-topic, or slightly
off-topic. So please pardon the post if it's off-topic. :)

I have a laptop whose PCMCIA slots are kaput, but it's all I've got to be
able to test my PostgreSQL-ODBC-M$Access97 setup. I therefore need to be
able to establish a network connection between my laptop that will be
running Windows95, and my desktop computer running Linux. The laptop has a
serial port and a parallel port. Is there any way for me to be able to
link the two (and not via a dumb terminal program, I need TCP/IP working)
using the parallel or serial ports on both computers?

I've heard of PLIP, but don't know what site to check out, and how to work
things out considering one of the two computers will not be running Linux.

If anyone's got an idea about how I can go about with this, please drop me
a line or two or more. Thanks in advance! :)
