If you look at the Red Hat Web Page that Marvin mentioned, you will see
the price of the course in other Asian countries:

Price:
                            The price for this five-day course is: 

                                  Australia: AUD $3,395
                                  Hong Kong: HKD $18500
                                  Korea: USD $2,498
                                  Kuala Lumpur: MYR $4,950
                                  New Zealand: NZ $3,950
                                  Singapore: SGD $2,995
                                  Taiwan: USD $2,498 

As you can see, the cost for the course in the RP is already 50% less than
what they charge in other Asian countries.
I'm not defending the price, just reporting the facts. You may draw your
own conclusions.
