Give me a 10Mbps connection to a router connected to my ISP through a
64Kbps leased line and I'll have kpppload reporting soaring numbers, even
without FTP sessions. HTTP downloads can be done, and are done regularly
and interchangeably with FTP downloads. In short your user to link ratios
are dependent on the type of users you've got. If they're all just
e-mailing then 64Kbps will get you a long way. If they're all bandwidth
hungry like se moi then you're in trouble. I don't know what you'd
consider as the "norm". Perhaps the ISP people can help you out better
when it comes to this. :)
