500 to 600MB sounds like a modest suggestion, so I don't think that guy
was pulling your leg. If you really want to go extreme, I've done a setup
on a 200MB hard drive, but then that's no extreme compared to PocketLinux
that fit on a floppy (my first encounter with Linux, and perhaps the
strongest motivating factor for my move).

Something to practice on, then. It's awesome installing Linux on a box
where there's nothing to lose. Iba kasi yung pressure kapag alam mong may
ine-expect na dun sa server na yun. Pero kapag nag-crash siya, perfect
opportunity to have fun and check new things out. :)
