What UPS's are compatible with Linux/FreeBSD, more importantly Linux's
powerd (who manages the power in FreeBSD?), that are widely available in the
Philippines? Using APC is a no-no, it's too expensive for a home server with
only 140W. I only need the UPS to maintain the server's power for not more
than 5 minutes during a blackout, enough for the system to shut down.
