#_ I would suggest a closer time server, such as clock.cuhk.edu.hk (Chinese
#_ University of Hong Kong). Network latencies are less, and so you have
#_ less guesswork for NTP to do. More reliable. Can't remember URL of the
#_ list of NTP servers I found before, but I think it'd be best to find an
#_ NTP server which is networkologically close to you (Pacific Internet gives
#_ me ~500 ms latency on clock.cuhk.edu.hk, which was the best I could get
#_ off my list. Pacific's upstream is in Singapore, but I couldn't find an
#_ open access, freely-usable server there.).

If you are using a distribution that is < Mandrake 7.0; you can download and
compile "chrony". Mandrake 7.0 has an equivalent program called "timed"; I
have not used this though. I still use chrony that I copied from my old
Mandrake 6.0
