Well... in no way am I a "professional", but I asked this question because I
was considering cataloging the hardware addresses of each client in the
network.

My follow-up question would be, given that two or more systems have similar
set-ups, would the hardware address still be unique given that they port
swap using the same IP Address? By port swap, I mean the way of using the IP
address one at a time, only removing the socket and transferring it to
another box of the same setup.
